🛡️ Disable Antivirus

Mod injectors map custom instructions directly into game memory, resulting in anti-virus false positives. Bypass Windows Defender blocks with these steps.

Disable Real-Time Protection

1. Search and open Windows Security via the Windows Start Menu.

Downloading DirectX

3. Uncheck "Install the Bing Bar" and click next to install missing legacy DirectX DLL files.

Disable User Account Control (UAC)

UAC Disabling Steps

For Windows 11 Only

Disable Core Isolation

1. Open Windows Security and select Device Security.
2. Click on Core isolation details.
3. Toggle **Memory integrity** to Off.
4. Restart your machine.

Disable TPM 2.0 (BIOS)

Spoofing hardware bans on games using Vanguard or EasyAntiCheat sometimes requires disabling TPM.

BIOS TPM Disabling Steps

1. Reboot your PC and press Del or F2 to enter UEFI BIOS.
2. Go to Advanced Settings, locate Security, Trusted Computing, or Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT) / AMD fTPM configuration.
3. Toggle TPM or Intel PTT / AMD fTPM to Disabled.
4. Save settings (F10) and boot into Windows.

🔧 Sordum Defender Control

Defender Control is a lightweight utility designed to permanently disable Windows Defender.

How to use Defender Control

1. Download Defender Control from our extras folder or sordum.org.
2. Extract the password-protected ZIP archive using password sordum.
3. Launch the executable as administrator.
4. Click **Disable Windows Defender**. The status bar will turn red, indicating Windows Defender has been permanently stopped.
